RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE
SECONDARY RESERVOIR PIPELINE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price contract with Bowles
Construction with the estimated total cost of $1,012, 960.00; and
WHEREAS, it was found that a proposed 48 -inch pipeline was in conflict with an
existing 42 -inch pipeline serving the Cypress Water Treatment Plant; and
WHEREAS, the 48 -inch pipeline was adjusted by lowering it under the 42 -inch
pipeline: and
WHEREAS, the grade has been adjusted on a proposed 36 -inch pipeline; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of this Change Order is $17,900.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 1 for the Secondary Reservoir Pipeline
Improvement Project is hereby approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute
Change Order No. 1.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
