RESOLUTION AWARDING A PROPOSAL TO BUSINESS IMAGING
SYSTEMS, INCORPORATED FOR A POLICE DOCUMENT IMAGING
SYSTEM AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF RELATED
HARDWARE FROM THE STATE QUALIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS
VENDOR LIST; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, $136,736 is available in the 1999 Local Law Enforcement Grant
Program to purchase a document imaging system; and
WHEREAS, proposals were solicited from several providers of document imaging
systems, and
WHEREAS, the proposal submitted by Business Imaging Systems, Incorporated
has been determined to be in the best interest of the City, and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the system it is necessary to purchase some
hardware components, and the City can achieve reasonable prices by purchasing this
hardware off the State's Qualified Information Systems Vendor List.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. An award of proposal is hereby approved to Business Imaging
Systems, Incorporated for a document imaging system in the amount of $60,399.00.
SECTION 2. It is further resolved that authorization is granted to purchase related
hardware for the system off the State Qualified Information System Vendor List in the
amount of $56,494.74.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
