RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR
TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH GRANT FOR LOCAL PUBLIC
HEALTH PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE TO BIOTERRORISM;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District has received
notice of eligibility to request additional grant funds from the Texas Department of
Health; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $214,863 has been marked for Wichita
County for public health preparedness and response to bioterrorism.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply to the Texas
Department of Health for additional grant funding for public health preparedness and
response to bioterrorism.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
