RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF FOUR VACANT
PROPERTIES LOCATED WEST OF THE NEW BOAT RAMP BY LAKE
WICHITA FOR PARK PURPOSES; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS it is desirable to acquire the land adjacent to the new boat ramp on
Lake Wichita for the development of additional recreational facilities as stated in the
Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan, and;
WHEREAS, the acquisition of four vacant properties located at 2712, 2714,
2716, and 2718 Outlet Drive, as shown on the attached map as lots 15 -18, is
appropriate as they are vacant and the funding is available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate the acquisition
of the four vacant lots located at 2712, 2714, 2716, and 2718 Outlet Drive.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
