RESOLUTION GRANTING EXTENDED RESERVATION PRIVILEGE TO
THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS TEXAS -NORTH TEXAS AREA FOR USE OF
THE TWO BALLFIELDS IN TESCO PARK SATURDAY MORNINGS
JUNE 29 THROUGH OCTOBER 12, 2002 FOR A FOUR TEAM LEAGUE;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Special Olympics Texas -North Texas Area has requested
permission for extended reservation privilege for use of the two baseball fields in
TESCO Park from 9:00 a.m. to Noon June 29 through October 12, 2002 to conduct a
four team league and;
WHEREAS, the fields are available with the exception of softball league makeup
games and future tournament rentals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Extended reservation privilege for the two baseball fields in TESCO
Park is hereby granted to the Special Olympics Texas -North Texas Area for a four team
baseball league on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to Noon June 29 through October 12,
2002 with the condition that softball makeup games and future tournament rentals are
not restricted.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
