RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION TO TEXAS PARKS &
WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FOR A MATCHING GRANT FOR A TRAIL IN
HAMILTON PARK; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS it is desirable to continue the development of public trails, and;
WHEREAS, a circular trail in Hamilton Park is needed to extend the Holliday
Creek Trail system and to provide additional trail benefits for users of the park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an application to
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for a matching grant to construct a trail in
Hamilton Park and requesting $100,000 in state funds with a local match of $25,000.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
