RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO ACCEPT PHASE TWO SIXTH STREET TRUNK
MAIN PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO BARSON
UTILITIES, INC.; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a unit price contract with
Barson Utilities, Inc. with the estimated total cost of $666,984.50; and
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of $675,459.50, of
which $634,884.01 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount due
of $40,575.49.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Phase Two Sixth Street Trunk Main Project is hereby
accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to make final payment to the contractor,
Barson Utilities, Inc., in the amount of $40,575.49.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
