A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE PROPOSED USE
OF FUNDS FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
AND THE HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS IN THE
ACTION PLAN OF THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR THE PERIOD OF
OCTOBER 1, 2002 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2003; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls administers the Community Development
Block Grant and the HOME Investment Partnership Programs through the Housing
Division of the Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has had two Public Hearings to receive citizen
input, and the City Manager and staff have used this input to develop suggested
activities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council Subcommittee on Outside Agencies has reviewed
these suggestions and recommended to the full City Council a listing of proposed
projects; and
WHEREAS, during a Public Hearing, the full City Council reviewed the
recommended projects and approves the projects and activities in the Action Plan to
the Consolidated Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas hereby approves and
adopts the Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan for the period October 1, 2002 to
September 30, 2003.
SECTION 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to submit this Action
Plan to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
SECTION 3. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute and
amend any and all grant agreements and contracts to implement the approved Plan
with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
