RESOLUTION TO REJECT BID FOR THE 2001 -2002 VALVE
REPLACEMENT BUDGET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the construction
of the 2001 -2002 Valve Replacement Budget Utility Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest, responsible bidder is Bowles Construction
Co., who made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $431,400.00; and
WHEREAS, the bid exceeds funds available for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Said unit price bid of Bowles Construction Co., with an estimated
total of $431,400.00 is hereby rejected.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
