RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID AND CONTRACT
FOR THE HOLLIDAY CREEK PEDESTRIAN AND
BICYCLE TRAIL, PHASE 4 PROJECT, AND
APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO.1; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS RESOLUTUION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the construction
of the Holliday Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Trail, Phase 4 Project; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder is Freeman
Construction who made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $377,858.52
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is proposed for acceptance, which entails
replacing the 54 -inch high aluminum railing with a 48 -inch high steel system, resulting in
a net decrease of $55,470.00, for an adjusted contract price of $322,388.52.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Said unit price bid of Freeman Construction, as amended by
Change Order No. 1, with an estimated total of $322,388.52 is hereby accepted, and
the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the City with said Contractor for
the construction of such project.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
