RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR LAND SITES FOR THE
VASI AND REIL LOCATIONS AT KICKAPOO AIRPARK; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, operates the Kickapoo Downtown
Airpark; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration installed and maintains the
Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI) and the Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL)
systems at Kickapoo; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to renew this lease.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The lease is approved and the City Manager is hereby authorized
to execute a lease agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration for land sites at
Kickapoo Downtown Airpark.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
