RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE LEASE
AGREEMENT FOR BUILDING 81, KICKAPOO AIRPARK TO JOHN AND
JAN HANCOCK AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE ASSIGNMENTS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has a lease agreement with Jim
Staley, Individually and as Independent Executor of the Estate of James Irven Staley,
Jr., Deceased, as Trustee of the J.I. Staley Trust, Nancy Staley, Charles Oman,
Individually, O.A.R. Corporation, a Texas Corporation and Oman First Family Limited
Partnership for Building 81 at the Kickapoo Airpark; and
WHEREAS, the Lessees wish to assign the lease to John and Jan Hancock; and
WHEREAS, the assignment of the lease agreement to John and Jan Hancock
requires City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to assign the lease.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The assignment of the lease for Building 81 at Kickapoo Airpark to
John and Jan Hancock is approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute the
assignment.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
