RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE
AGREEMENT AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE DATED MAY 24, 1982
BETWEEN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS AND THE EAST LYNWOOD
RESIDENTS ORGANIZATION, INC.; PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN TERM;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has leased the East Lynwood
Community Center to the East Lynwood Residents Organization, Inc. since May 24,
1982; and
WHEREAS, the East Lynwood Residents Organization, Inc. desires to extend
the lease of the East Lynwood Community Center located in East Lynwood Park; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that leasing the East Lynwood Community Center to
the East Lynwood Residents Organization, Inc. is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a lease
amendment with the East Lynwood Residents Organization, Inc., attached as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.

Exhibit A
This lease made and entered into as of the 6 1 day of July 1982, by and between
the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the East Lynwood Residents Organization, Inc.,
Inc. a non - profit corporation and a neighborhood action group, is hereby amended as
follows.
2.1 The lessee, East Lynwood Residents Organization, Inc., Inc. is granted a
lease extension commencing on May 24, 2002 and ending on September 30, 2002.
Thereafter this agreement will automatically renew on a year to year basis, unless
either party gives prior written notice of termination of this lease to the other party at
least thirty (30) days in advance.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused these present to be
executed as of , 2000.
