RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE
AGREEMENT AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE DATED AUGUST 25, 1980
BETWEEN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS AND THE KEMP /SUNNYSIDE
NEIGHBORHOOD ACTION GROUP; PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN TERM;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has leased the Kemp /Sunnyside
Community Center to the Kemp /Sunnyside Neighborhood Action Group since August
25, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the Kemp /Sunnyside Neighborhood Action Group desires to extend
the lease of the Kemp /Sunnyside Community Center located in Jalonick Park; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that leasing the Kemp /Sunnyside Community Center
to the Kemp /Sunnyside Neighborhood Action Group is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a lease
amendment with the Kemp /Sunnyside Neighborhood Action Group, attached as Exhibit
A.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.

LEASE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT
Exhibit A
This lease made and entered into as of the 25th day of August 1980, by and
between the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the Kemp /Sunnyside Neighborhood
Action Group, Inc. a non - profit corporation and a neighborhood action group, is hereby
amended as follows.
2.1 The lessee, Kemp /Sunnyside Neighborhood Action Group, Inc. is granted a
lease extension commencing on August 25, 1990 and ending on September 30, 2002
for the community building located at 401 Walnut in Jalonick Park. Thereafter this
agreement will automatically renew on a year to year basis, unless either party gives
prior written notice of termination of this lease to the other party at least thirty (30) days
in advance.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused these present to be
executed as of 2000.
