RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN
APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT
FOR A NON - MATCHING BOAT RAMP REPAIR GRANT; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the public boat ramps at Ouchita Park and Deer Creek on Lake
Arrowhead are in need of repair; and
WHEREAS, the current low lake level allows for easier repair; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department will fund all of the requested
repairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an application to
the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department for a non - matching grant in the amount of
$38,353 to repair the public boat ramps on Lake Arrowhead in Ouchita Park on FM 172
and Deer Creek on FM 2606.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
