RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 171 -90, AS AMENDED BY
RESOLUTION 86 -99, CONCERNING APPOINTMENTS TO THE AIRPORT
ADVISORY BOARD; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Resolution 171 -90, as amended by Resolution 86 -99, is hereby
amended at Section 2 to read as follows:
"Section 2. Appointments.
The members of the Aviation Advisory Board shall be appointed by the Maygp -and
appPoved by the City Council. The terms of such members shall be for a period of three (3)
years. Members may be appointed to serve a second term but in no case shall a member
serve longer than six (6) consecutive years. Members shall be appointed to places one (1)
through nine (9). Places 1, 2, and 3 shall expire December 31, 1999. Places 4, 5 and 6 shall
expire December 31, 2000, and Places 7, 8 and 9 shall expire December 31, 2001. All
vacancies shall be filled by appointment of the City Council
and shall be for the remainder of the term of the vacating member. any member of the
Aviation Advisory Board may be removed at any time by a five - seventh majority vote of the
City Council, and no reason need be given for such removal. Place 8 shall be filled by a
representative of Sheppard Air Force Base, designated by the Base Commander, who shall
serve an indefinite term at the pleasure of the City Council and Base Commander."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
