RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION WAIVER FOR THE
JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT AND
DESIGNATING WICHITA COUNTY AS THE RECIPIENT OF THE
ALLOCATED AMOUNT OF $44,127; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls received notice of its qualification to receive
$44,127 in federal funds from the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls desires that these funds
be used to locally; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners Court of Wichita County proposes to submit a
qualifying application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls hereby waives its right to apply for the
2001 Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant funds and authorizes the City
Manager to execute said application waiver.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls requests that Wichita County receive the
funds waived by the City.
SECTION 3. The City of Wichita Falls agrees to participate in the Juvenile Crime
Enforcement Coalition. Representatives to the Coalition shall include the Mayor, City
Manager and Chief of Police
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
