RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE BY THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT FROM THE SEIZED FUNDS ACCOUNT FOR THE
ADDITIONAL HARDWARE NECESSARY TO COMPLETE
INSTALLATION OF THE REVERSE 911 COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the FY 1998 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant authorized the
procurement, installation and check -out of a Reverse 911 Communications System;
and
WHEREAS, the system was installed in December 2000 and some installation
fees were incurred that were not originally quoted in the FY 1998 proposal; and
WHEREAS, various specialized telephone hardware, peculiar to this
communications system, require additional subcontractor services in the amount of
$2,917.42.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The expenditure of funds in the amount of $2,917.42 from the
Police Department Seized Fund Account is hereby authorized for the expenses
necessary to complete the installation of telephone hardware for the reverse 911
communications system.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
