The City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas met in special session on the above
date in the Council Chambers of the Memorial Auditorium Building at 1:30 o'clock p.m., with the
following members present:

Mayor Altman called the meeting to order.
Item 2
Mayor Altman gave the invocation.
The Minutes of May 18, 2004 were approved as distributed.
Mayor Altman and City Clerk Lydia Torres -Ozuna canvassed the results of the City Election
held on May 15, 2004.

ORDINANCE NO. 40 -2004
ORDINANCE CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE MUNICIPAL GENERAL
ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS ON MAY 15, 2004;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW
Moved by Councilor Hawkins that Ordinance No. 40 -2004 be passed with the following
results inserted in the blanks.

63 votes for Les Seipel
197 votes for Charles Elmore
Charles Elmore was duly and legally elected Councilor District 5.
Motion seconded by Councilor Williams and carried by the following vote.
Ayes: Mayor Altman, Councilors Williams, Burns, and Hawkins
Nays: None
City Council adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
