RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FY 1999 -2000
BUDGET FOR THE WICHITA FALLS (413) SALES TAX CORPORATION
FOR PRELIMINARY DESIGN CONSULTATION SERVICES FOR A
PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING CENTER AND FIRING RANGE; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on January 18, 1997, the voters approved the adoption of an
additional % cent Section 4B sales tax to undertake various projects as authorized by
law; and
WHEREAS, one of the projects specifically listed on the ballot was a police and
fire training center; and
WHEREAS, on Monday, January 31, 2000, the Wichita Falls (413) Sales Tax
Corporation Board of Directors conducted a public hearing to consider a request for
funds in the amount of $75,000 to begin preliminary design consultation services; and
WHEREAS, the Board recommends to the City Council that this project be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The FY 1999 -2000 Budget for the Wichita Falls (413) Sales Tax
Corporation is hereby amended to include $75,000 for preliminary design consultation
services related to the public safety training center and firing range.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
