RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR
THE FY 1999 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $128,540.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City has been notified of the FY 1999 Local Law Enforcement
Block Grant in the amount of $128,540.00 of which $115,686.00 is federal monies and
$12,854.00 (10 %) is cash match which would come from Police Department's forfeited
funds; and
WHEREAS, This federal grant money would be used for procurring equipment,
technology, and other materials directly related to basic law enforcement functions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is authorized to apply for the FY 1999 Local
Law Enforcement Block Grant in the amount of $128,540.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
