RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN
APPLICATION FOR A RECREATIONAL TRAIL PROGRAM GRANT TO
TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FOR A TRAIL IN JAYCEE
PARK; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department is offering grants for trails
through the federal Recreational Trails Program section of the TEA 21 and the deadline
for submission for the application is June 1, 2000; and
WHEREAS; and the City commits to its share of the matching grant; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to continue development of the Holliday
Creek Trail system through Jaycee Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an application for
a Recreational Trail Program grant to Texas Parks & Wildlife Department for a trail in
Jaycee Park.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
