A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXERCISE
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AN OPTION TO PURCHASE CERTAIN
TRACTS OF PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN
AIRPARK; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on the 10th day of December, 1998, the City of Wichita Falls, as
Optionee, and John and Ann Coppage, as Optionors, entered into an Option
Agreement to purchase certain tracts of land commonly known as the Kickapoo
Downtown Airpark; and,
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of February 2000, the City and Coppage amended the
Option Agreement so as to extend the time within which the City would have to exercise
its option to purchase Kickapoo Downtown Airpark.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager be and is hereby authorized to give written
notice to Ann Coppage that the City elects to exercise its option to purchase the real
property commonly known as the Kickapoo Downtown Airpark, in accordance with the
original Option Agreement and its First Amendment, referenced herein and made a part
hereof for all purposes. The total consideration for the purchase of the Kickapoo
Downtown Airpark shall not exceed $1.6 million.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
