RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 AND ACCEPT
CENTRAL FIRE STATION RE -ROOF PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE
FINAL PAYMENT TO LYDICK HOOKS ROOFING; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a lump sum contract with Lydick
Hooks Roofing with the total cost of $66,833.00; and
WHEREAS, additional work was required under Changer Order No. 1 at a cost
of $2,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of $68,833.00 of which
$61,949.70 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount due of
$6,883.30; and,
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That Change Order No. 1 and the Central Fire Station Re -roof
Project is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to make final payment
to the contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
