RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH CORLETT, PROBST & BOYD, INC., IN ASSOCIATION WITH
CAMP DRESSER & MCKEE, FOR LAKE KEMP WATER SUPPLY
SYSTEM, JASPER WATER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS,
AND RIVER ROAD WATER REUSE IMPLEMENTATION; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to construct improvements to deliver
water from Lake Kemp to the Cypress Water Treatment Plant, renovate the existing
Water Treatment Plant at Jasper and a pilot study for the reuse of the River Road
effluent; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls must comply with new regulations proposed
by the Environmental Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to retain the engineering firm of
Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc., in association with Camp Dresser & McKee, for the
engineering services for the Lake Kemp Water Supply System, Jasper Water Treatment
Plant Improvements, and River Road Water Reuse Implementation and associated
work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The contract between Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc., in association
with Camp Dresser & McKee, for engineering services for the Lake Kemp Water Supply
System, Jasper Water Treatment Plant Improvements and River Road Reuse
Implementation is hereby approved at a cost not to exceed $3,675,500.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
