RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH BIGGS & MATHEWS, INC. IN ASSOCIATION WITH CH2M HILL
FOR CYPRESS WATER TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION AND
FOURTH PRESSURE PLANE IMPROVEMENTS; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to expand the Cypress Water
Treatment Plant, renovate the existing Water Treatment Plant at Cypress, and construct
a fourth pressure plane; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls must comply with new regulations proposed
by the Environmental Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to retain the engineering firm of
Biggs & Mathews, Inc. in association with CH2M Hill for the engineering services for the
expansion of the Cypress Water Treatment Plant, renovation of the existing Cypress
Water Treatment Plant, and the construction of a fourth pressure plane and associated
work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The contract between Biggs & Mathews, Inc. in association with
CH2M Hill for engineering services for the Cypress Water Treatment Plant expansion
and Fourth Pressure Plain Improvements is hereby approved at a cost not to exceed
$3,600,000.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
