RESOLUTION REQUESTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $176,000
FROM THE 4B SALES TAX BOARD FOR MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE
TXDOT TEA 21 TRAIL GRANT PROJECT BY LAKE WICHITA, FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City was awarded in January, 2000 a matching grant from the
TXDOT in the amount or $702,396 for construction of a three mile trail by Lake Wichita,
and
WHEREAS, the local sponsor match is 20% of the project cost, or $176,000; and
WHEREAS, funding of the $176,000 local match is deemed an appropriate
expenditure by the 4B Sales Tax Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls does hereby request the 4B Sales Tax
Board consider a funding request in the amount of $176,000 for the City's matching
share of the TXDOT TEA 21 trail grant project by Lake Wichita.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
