RESOLUTION DEDICATING RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE BID FOR
THE 2004 JOINT INSTITUTE AND TRADE SHOW OF THE TEXAS
RECREATION AND PARK SOCIETY AND THE TEXAS PARKS AND
WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT SUBMITTED BY THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is authorized to submit a bid to host
the 2004 Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS)/Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department (TPWD) Annual Institute, and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the Parks and Recreation Department
acknowledge the criteria and requirements specified in the site selection criteria for bid
to host the Annual TRAPS/TPWD Institute; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council endorses the bid submission and is
committed to providing the necessary resources to perform all functions consistent with
the bid to host the 2004 Texas Recreation and Park Society/Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department Annual Institute.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
