RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE REVISED SECTION
8 RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN AND
FAMILY SELF - SUFFICIENCY ACTION PLAN; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls operates the Section 8 Existing Housing
Assistance Programs through the Housing Division of the Community Development
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Housing Division is designated by the
Department of Housing and Urban Development as a Public Housing Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and City Council act as the Board of Directors for
the Public Housing Agency and must approve and adopt various administrative actions
taken by the agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas hereby approves and
adopts the revised Section 8 Administrative Plan and Family Self- Sufficiency Action
Plan for the operation of the Section 8 Existing Housing Assistance Program. This
revision has been made necessary by the many changes and amendments to the
Section 8 Rental Assistance program operations and guidelines as directed by the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
