RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A CITY COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE TO
NEGOTIATE WITH UNITED STATES AIR FORCE PERSONNEL ON
LEASE ISSUES OF THE WICHITA FALLS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, representatives from Sheppard Air Force Base have appeared
before the City Council, expressing an interest to extend the term of the current lease at
the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport and discuss other relevant issues pertaining to the
lease agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to form a City Council subcommittee to meet with Air
Force personnel to discuss these issues of mutual interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Mayor Pro Tern Dan Shine, and Councilors Johnny Burns and Bill
Altman are hereby appointed as a subcommittee of the City Council to meet and
negotiate with United States Air Force personnel regarding issues of mutual interest
concerning the lease of the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
