RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH THE BURLINGTON
NORTHERN AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF A NEW RAILROAD CROSSING AT THE EXISTING
BEVERLY STREET CROSSING; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Beverly Street Crossing with the Burlington Northern and Santa
Fe Railway Company is in need of reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company has agreed
to reconstruct this crossing if the City of Wichita Falls will pay for the materials in the
amount of $24,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to have the railway reconstruct the
crossing and agrees to pay for the materials.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The attached Agreement for the installation of the Beverly Street
Crossing is hereby approved and payment is authorized in the amount of $24,000.00
for material.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
