Resolution No. _79-2015__
Resolution declaring the City owned property located at 4415 Miller
Road, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas as excess real property
and authorizing permission to advertise the propert y to be offered
for sale at sealed bid.
WHEREAS, the City owns excess property that staff has determined is no longer
necessary for City operati ons and desires to pursue the possibility of the selling of the
property; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls held a special election
in said City on May 9, 2015 to consider the sale of 4415 Miller, surplus park property,
and said proposition received a favorable majority vote; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems it
reasonable to offer for sale the property located at 4415 Miller Road; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The property located at 4415 Miller Road and more specifically described in
the attached Exhibits “A,” “B,” “C,” and “D,” may be sold “as is” and “buyer beware”
to the winning bidder.
2. The City of Wichita Falls retains the right to refuse any and all bids if they feel
the bids are inadequate and do not reflect a good representation of the property value.
