RESOLUTION NO. '-15 -a©01 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TRANSIT SYSTEM APPLICATION SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Transit System received federal funds in the amount of $117,558 pursuant to 49 U.S.C. Section 5309 for capital items; and WHEREAS, of this amount, $70,000 was approved for transit dispatching software; and WHEREAS, a Response for Proposals was issued for said software; and WHEREAS, during the evaluation process an additional module beneficial to transportation planning was reviewed; and WHEREAS, the Trapeze Software Group has submitted a proposal that, in the opinion of City staff, will enhance transit services to the public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase a transit system dispatching application with related training and implementation support from the Trapeze Software Group in the amount of $56,125 and further authorized to purchase the necessary hardware from the General Services Commission in the amount of $13,408. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase the Trapeze - PLAN module from the Trapeze Software Group in the amount of $28,500 using federal transit planning grant funds and the required local match. SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
