RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF BID FOR ELECTRIC
GOLF CARTS FOR WEEKS PARK GOLF COURSE TO E -Z -GO
SOUTHWEST; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, bids were opened on June 8, 2001 for the purchase, lease purchase
or lease of electric golf carts for the Weeks Park Municipal Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, E -Z -Go Southwest is the apparent low bidder meeting
specifications; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Wichita Falls to enter into a
lease purchase agreement with E -Z -Go Southwest for electric golf carts for the golf
course.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a lease
purchase agreement with E -Z -Go Southwest for acquisition of sixty -five (65) electric golf
carts for the Weeks Park Municipal Golf Course.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is further authorized to amend the lease
purchase agreement when, in his opinion, it is in the best financial interests of the
operation of the golf course to do so.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
