RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING SOUTHWEST STUDENT
TRANSPORTATION L.L.C. AS A PROVIDER OF CHARTER SERVICES
WITHIN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a public notice was published on May 21, 2001 requesting the
submission of evidence by interested parties to provide charter services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received evidence from Southwest
Student Transportation L.L.C. that they are willing and able to operate as private
charter providers within the city limits of Wichita Falls and areas in close proximity; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has reviewed the submitted evidence within
the sixty (60) days of the deadline for submission of evidence and found Southwest
Student Transportation L.L.C., an eligible private provider of charter service based on
submittal of their letter of intent, TxDOT motor carrier certificate of registration,
certificate of liability insurance, workers' compensation and employer's liability
certificate of insurance, and the FTA designation of agents, motor carriers and brokers
and freight forwarders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. SOUTHWEST STUDENT TRANSPORTATION L.L.C., is an
eligible private charter operator for charter services.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be deemed to be in effect until such time
that Southwest Student Transportation L.L.C. is no longer a willing or able charter
service provider, or until such time that the Federal Transit Administration requires that
the City re- advertise and accept another provider of charter service.
SECTION 3. Southwest Student Transportation L.L.C. as a provider of
charter service shall become effective with the passage of this resolution.
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
