RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH THE U.S.
GEOLOGICAL SURVEY FOR A WATER LOSS STUDY ON THE LITTLE
WICHITA RIVER; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has an on -going contract with the U.S.
Geological Survey to perform certain stream gauging functions related to the raw water
supply; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the City of Henrietta has previously
agreed to perform water loss studies on the Little Wichita River between the release
point at the Lake Arrowhead Dam and the City of Henrietta's intake; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Geological Survey has agreed to perform this Water Loss
Study in the amount of $1,893 for the City of Wichita Falls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Contract with the U.S. Geological Survey is amended to
include the Water Loss Study at a cost of $1,893 to the City of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
