RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000
FOR THE PURCHASE OF WOOD- CHIPPER TO EXPAND THE
COMPOSTING PROGRAM; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has approved an application to the Nortex
Council of Governments for a grant in the amount of $20,000 on November 2, 1999;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to accept the grant for the purchase
of a chipper for use related to chipping of tree trimmings and lawn waste to enhance the
City's composting operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The referenced grant is hereby accepted in the amount of $20,000
for the purchase of a chipper.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
