RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE TEXAS PARKS
AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000.00 FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE JAYCEE PARK TRAIL; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls approved an application to the Texas Parks
and Wildlife Department for a grant in the amount of $50,000.00 on May 16, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to accept the grant for the
construction of the Jaycee Park Trail as a continuation of the Holliday Creek Bike and
Pedestrian Trail.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department grant is hereby accepted
in the amount of $50,000.00 for the construction of the Jaycee Park Trail and funds
from the General Fund are authorized to be used to match the grant in the amount of
$10,000.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
