RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING ONE ADDITIONAL FLOATING
HOLIDAY FOR CITY EMPLOYEES; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to add one additional paid holiday for City
employees; and
WHEREAS, floating holidays are less costly and allow more choice to the
employee as to when to use a holiday than designated holidays.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Effective October 1, 2001, there is hereby authorized one
additional floating holiday for City employees, which increases the total floating holidays
per fiscal year from one to two.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
