RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH HABITAT
FOR HUMANITY OF WICHITA FALLS TO FACILITATE THE
CONDITIONS FOR THE TRANSFER OF CITY -OWNED
PROPERTY AT 813, 901, AND 913, GERALD STREET AND 814
AND 816 CHANCE STREET FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
NEW HOUSING AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE DEEDS TO TRANSFER TITLE; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 272.001 of the Texas Local
Government Code, the City of Wichita Falls may convey property without the
solicitation of bids to non - profit entities for economic development programs
authorized by Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act; and
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls desires to continue to
construct homes on the Eastside of Wichita Falls for the benefit of qualified low -
to- moderate - income families; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the
attached agreement for the transfer of property and special warranty deeds tc
convey title on the following properties located in Wichita Falls, Wichita County,
Texas to Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls.

901 Gerald
Lot 13, Block 1, Blackmon & Williams 2nd Addition
913 Gerald
Lot 19, Block 1, Blackmon & Williams 2nd Addition
814 Chance
Lot 4, Block 2, Blackmon & Williams 1St Addition
816 Chance
Lot 3, Block 2, Blackmon & Williams 1St Addition
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting
at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.

Re: AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OF PROPERTY
The City of Wichita Falls agrees to donate the following properties to Habitat for
Humanity of Wichita Falls:

This property is to be used exclusively for the construction of a low -to- moderate - income,
single - family residence. Construction must commence within one (1) year from the
transfer of title on the above - described properties. Habitat for Humanity agrees to abide
by all City of Wichita Falls ordinances including, but not limited to, zoning and building
regulations. Should construction fail to commence within one (1) year or the property
be used for purposes other than those previously stated, ownership will revert back to
the City.
