RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO REJECT BIDS FOR THE 2000 -2001 BUDGET
UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the construction
of the 2000 -2001 Budget Utility Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the bid(s) exceeded funds available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The bid received from Bowles Construction in the amount of
$1,662,357 for the 2000 -2001 Budget Utility Improvement Project, designed to install
13,599 linear feet of 6 -inch to 24 -inch water mains, rehab lift station No. 4 and
associated work, is hereby rejected.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 18th day of September, 2001.
