RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 163 -2000 TO AMEND
THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR 922 GERALD; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on December 19, 2000, the Wichita Falls City Council approved
Resolution No. 163 -2000, authorizing an agreement with Habitat for Humanity of
Wichita Falls to facilitate the conditions for the transfer of City -owned property at 906,
916, and 922 Gerald Street for the construction of new housing, and authorizing the City
Manager to execute the deeds to transfer title; and
WHEREAS, the legal description listed for 922 Gerald Street in said resolution
was erroneously identified as being a .572 acre tract out of Block 1, Blackmon &
Williams 2nd Addition; and
WHEREAS, the correct legal description for this property is a .572 acre tract out
of Block 9, W.E. Wilson Acres; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution 163 -2000 by
correcting the legal description for 922 Gerald so that the transfer to Habitat for
Humanity can proceed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 163 -2000 is hereby amended at Section 1, so that
the legal description for 922 Gerald shall read as follows: "A .572 Acre Tract Out Of
Block 9, W. E. Wilson Acres."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
