RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER
EQUIPMENT FROM SIRIUS COMPUTER SOLUTIONS OFF THE STATE
OF TEXAS QUALIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS VENDOR BID LIST;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the 2001 -02 budget included $155,300 to replace a computer
database server used for the City's core administrative applications such as Finance,
Human Resources, Utility Billing and Budget Development; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for this equipment that is on the State
of Texas Qualified Information Systems Vendor List is Sirius Computer Solutions in the
amount of $148,142.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is hereby given to purchase an IBM RS6000 /p660
Database Server from Sirius Computer Solutions in the amount of $148,142.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
