RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID AND AUTHORIZE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR A 14 MGD MICRO -
FILTRATION MEMBRANE SYSTEM FOR THE CYPRESS WATER
TREATMENT PLANT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the
supplying of a 14 MGD micro - filtration membrane system for the Cypress Water
Treatment Plant; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder is U.S. Filter
Memcor who made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $3,595,000; and
WHEREAS, U.S. Filter Memcor is proposing to provide a $95,000
deduction for pneumatic actuated valves; and
WHEREAS, U.S. Filter Memcor is proposing to provide a pilot treatment
plant for an additional $55,000; and
WHEREAS, with the above referenced deduction and addition, the total
estimated unit price bid will be $3,555,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Said unit price bid of U.S. Filter Memcor with an estimated
total of $3,555,000 is hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized to
execute a contract for the City with said contractor for the supplying of said
equipment.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting
at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
