RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL FROM INPUT SYSTEMS,
INCORPORATED FOR COMPUTER SOFTWARE AND RELATED
SERVICES TO BE USED BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
DIVISION AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER
HARDWARE FROM COMPUTER LAND OFF THE STATE QUALIFIED
INFORMATION SYSTEMS VENDOR LIST; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the 2000 -01 budget included $50,000 to purchase a computer
system for the Environmental Health Division; and
WHEREAS, proposals were solicited from qualified software providers to satisfy
the software element of the system; and
WHEREAS, an evaluation team made up of Information Systems and
Environmental Health Staff conducted a detailed evaluation of the proposals, and
WHEREAS, the evaluation team determined that the software solution offered by
Input Systems, Incorporated best meets the needs of the Environmental Health
Division, and
WHEREAS, proposals were solicited for the hardware element of the system
from Qualified Information Systems Vendors and it was determined that the proposal
submitted by Computer Land was the lowest and most responsive proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The software proposal submitted by Input Systems, Incorporated is
hereby accepted.
SECTION 2. Authorization is hereby granted to purchase the hardware for this
system from Computer Land in the amount of $22,233.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
