AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE RATES OF THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE
COMPANY IN THE CITY OF WICHIT A FALLS, TEXAS.
Whereas? the schedule of rates for telephone service now charged in
the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has not changed during the past thirty
years, and
Whereas, the Telephone Company has applied to the City Council for
an increased schedule of rates, or an adjustment of its rates for service,
and
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls recognises the
right of the Telephone Company to earn a fair return on the fair value of
its property devoted to the rendition of Telephone service within the City
of Wichita Falls,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS:
Section 1. That the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company is hereby
authorTzed o place in effect as of May 21, 1951, the following schedule of
rates:

One Party Business Service - Flat $10.00
Business Extension Station - Flat 1.50
One Party Business - Measured 6.00*
Business Extension Station -Measured 1.00
One Party Residence Service - Flat 4.25
Two Party Residence Service - Flat 3.25
Four Party Residence Service - Flat 2.75
Residence Extension Station - Flat 1.00
Commercial PBX Trunks - Flat 15.00
Commercial PBX Stations - Flat 1.50
Semi-Public Service (Guarantee) .2I+ per day.
*Includes first 100 originating calls; additonal outgoing calls at
5¢ each for the first 100, others 40 each.
Authority to charge for miscellaneous services and equipment the
rates set out in the Schedule of Miscellaneous Rates and Charges attached
hereto and made a part hereof is also granted.
Section 2„. That nothing in this Ordinance contained shall be con-
strued a-`s�n any manner, now or hereafter, limiting or modifying the right
and power of the City Council under the law to regulate the rates charged
by the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for its service within the City
of Wichita Falls.
