AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CLASSIFICAT' Oi1T OF ALL
T'IREMEN UNDER CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYED BY THE CITY OF gT"UTTA
FALLS.
SECTION 1. Be it ordained by the BOARD OF ALDERMEN
of the City of Wichita 1 ''alls that the following positions in
the Fire Department are classified under Civil Service in com-
pliance with Section 8 of Article 1269m of the Revised Civil
Statutes of Texas and they are hereby set out as follows:
1. Recruit Fireman
2. Fireman
Driver
Lieutenant
5. Captain
6. Assistant Chief
7. Positions at large - Positions under Civil
Service but to be filled by appointment
rather than promotion, the same being:
a. Operator
b. Chief Operator
c . Fire ia7arshall.
SECTION 2. No other person employed by the City of
Wichita 11alls may be classified as holding a position under
Civil Service with the Fire Department.
