That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1596 is hereby amended so that it shall
hereafter read as follows:
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to re,11at to the Board
of Trustees of the Texas unlcinal T-'etirement System at its office in Austin Texas
the City's proper contributions to the system and the amounts -uhich shall be deducted
from the compensation or payroll of employees,, all as required by said Board under
the provisions of Chaj:Iter 75, Acts of the "Oth Legislature of the State oTexas,

amended, and the Director Personnel of the City of 'VV'ichita Falls, �f lr. Clovis D.

orized and directed to ascertain and certify
officially on behalf of the City of -,�ichita Falls., Texas, the prior service rendered
to the: said municipality by each of the employees of the participating departments,

and the average prior service compensation received by each., and to make and execute
all other reports and certificates, zhich may be required by the City of Wichita i,'alls,
Texas, under the Drovisions of Chapter 24, Acts Regular Session 5lst Legislature or

The fact that the City of 'vlichita Falls is now engaged in setting up a
retirement system creates an emergency., and this ordinance stall c-o into full force
and effect upon its passage.
