Ord 1616 6/9/1952ORDINANCE No. it lQ Y e AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING THAT PORTION OF KEMP BOULEVARD EXTENDING FROM THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF AVENUE "X" TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF AVENUE "Z" : THAT PORTION OF AVENUE "Y" EXTENDING FROM THE EAST LINE OF BLOCKS "N" AND 110" OF THE KEMP BOULEVARD AND KELL STREET SUB -DIVISION, TO A POINT APPROXIMATELY 84.0 FEET WEST OF THE WEST PROPERTY LINE OF KEMP BOULEVARD, BEING A JUNCTION POINT WITH THE EAST RIGHT-OF-Tr1AY LINE OF THE NEW HEMP BOULEVARD EXTENSION; THAT PORTION OF THE ALLEY LYING BEnMEN KEMP BOULEVARD AND BUCHANAN STREET FROM AVENUE "X" TO AVENUE "Z", BEING THE ALLEY THROUGH BLOCKS "J" AND "K" OF THE KEMP-FAIR PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, AND RETAINING AN EASEMENT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDEP,MEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION I. That portion of Kemp .Boulevard extending from the South property line of Avenue "X" to the North property line of Avenue 117, be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned except as hereinafter set out. SECTION II. That portion of Avenue "Y" extending from the East line of Blocks "N" and "0" of the Kemp Boulevard and Kell St. subdivisior. anaddition to the City of Wichita Falls, to a point approximately 84.0 feet West of the West property line of Kemp Boulevard, being a Junction point of the East right-of-way line of the new Kemp Bouleva extension be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned except as h inafter set out. SECTION III. 9lia.t the alley lying between Kemp Boulevard and Buchanan Street from Avenue "X" to Avenue "Z", being the alley between blocks "J" and "K,r in the Kemp -Fair Park Addition be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned except as hereinafter set out. SECTION IV. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, retains an easement in, on, over and under any part of said streets and alleys above described, for the purpose of maintaining, installing or repairing any utility, wire, sewer or water line, or any other method of transporting any form of public utility commodity. SECTION V. The property herein closed to public use to facilitate an advantageous sale of Blocks "J" and "K" by the City of Wichita Falls and in order to obtain a new right-of-way through said streets for the new Kemp -Boulevard.
