SECT:COli 1. 'That there is hereby created the office of Fire
Tlarshal for the City of Wichita Falls w_to shall work under and by direction
of the - G - - r - Department of Public Works - and Who s':all maintai n
offices it the I•Iemoriai Auditorium of the City of i^ichita Falls and whose
duties shall be as described herein.
SECTIOT? 2. It shall be the duty of such Fire 17,11arshal to keep
adequate records concerning fire losses, the reasons for such losses if
known, and to keen adequate records concerning fire hazards witriin the
corporate limits of the City of Wichita Falls; to make regular inspections
of all properties with_n the said City an-- to do all things reasonably
necessary to assist in the -prevention of fire losses in such C_ty.
SECTION 3. That said Fire 1:arshal shall work under the direction
of the - e alter - Department of Public •-rks - Cid er - of the City
of Wichita malls - and shall cooperate with the Fire Chief of such City and the
'building inspectors in the Department of Public 'Vdorks of said City. ;Said .tire
"arshal shall head the Bureau of Fire Prevention and shall cooperate with the
building inspectors in the Department of Public Works and shall have the ri.F,ht
to call upon other cit?r employees or assistants in making inspections.
SECT:i=ON 4. Said Fire "iarshal shall be paid from the general fund
of the City of Wichita Falls and shall have a separate account and budget set
up in the Department of Public Works to pay his necessary expenses, his salary
and the incide_Ntal expenses of performing his duties.
SEC7`LON 5. This ordinance is hereby added to the Administrative Code
of the City of 'iichita Falls as a separate division of Article 6 thereof and
shall be Section_ 1 - 1010.5 of said Code.
